The Winery Tour 2017

Join an intimate line-up of the country's favourite songbirds for an evening of great music and wine.
The much-loved Winery Tour is back, boasting an impressive local line-up of musical talent.
Moving its way around vineyards throughout the country, this year The Winery Tour will host the likes of Brooke Fraser, Bic Runga and Benny Tipene, as it celebrates its 10th year on the road. The month of February will kick off with a showcase at Vilagrad in Hamilton, followed by a series of shows in Matakana, Whangarei, Wellington, Palmerston North, Waipara Hills and Auckland's own Villa Maria Estate.
The Winery Tour remains a firm favourite on the Kiwi summer calendar. Parents are invited to bring the whole family, with admission free for children under 12. Pack a picnic or enjoy the array of food vendors on site.
We suggest you embrace the sprawling and picturesque winery surrounds before they go to harvest.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
