LATE: Auckland Eats Itself

From the spicy smells of Dominion Road and Sandringham to the top restaurants in town, get a taste of Auckland's ever-changing food landscape at Auckland Museum's late night event Auckland Eats Itself.
Panel Discussion
Noelle McCarthy will chair a panel discussion about the food of Auckland – the restaurants, the ingredients, and the changing flavours of kitchens around Tāmaki Makaurau.
Panelists include Connie Clarkson, the Singapore-born author of Asian Flavours who has an intricate knowledge of Asian cuisine found in Auckland; as well as Paul Spoonley, Distinguished Professor Massey University, who has studied food introduced by migrant communities. They are joined by Te Kohe Tuhaka, actor and chef of Marae Kai Masters fame, and Ben Bayly, excutive chef at The Grove and Baduzzi, with a background working in Michelin-starred restaurants in London and France.
Food Demonstration
See a demonstration by the team at Coco's Cantina, a family-run restaurant in K’Road specialising in rustic Italian with influences from across the Mediterranean. Hear from sisters Renee and Damaris Coulter, chef Guiherme ‘Will’ Bezerra and bar manager Petaia Unoi.
