Sip Away with L'affare at the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of Arts

The Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts is back again for 2024. L’affare is so excited to be supporting this iconic celebration of arts and culture, which will be popping up all around the Wellington region from Saturday, 24th of February to Saturday, 17th of March.
L’affare has supported this festival for several years and is excited to continue the partnership. They’ll celebrate the festival's opening weekend (Saturday, 24th, and Sunday, 25th February) by bringing a chill-out zone to the Wellington waterfront. They’ll offer a range of drinks and treats to cool you off in the summer heat. They love coffee, and there's no better chance to get creative with it than Aotearoa’s biggest celebration of the arts this year, so expect exciting treats that will be around for a good time, not a long time.
Pull up a pew (or nestle up in the sun) and cool off with L’affare before venturing further down the waterfront to explore the exciting installations, activations, and performances. Wellingtonians and visitors alike will immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the arts and kick off the festival the right way.
You know what they say, you can’t beat Wellington on a good day!

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
