Waiheke International Jazz Festival

Waiheke Island will play host to an eclectic line-up of Jazz musicians this Easter weekend.
This Easter weekend, over 170 local and international musicians will have Waiheke Island humming during the Waiheke International Jazz Festival.
The Good Friday Groove – headlined by Kiwi music veteran Dave Dobbyn – will kick off at midday on Friday, April 14, at the picturesque Rangihoua Estate in Rocky Bay. Waiheke will showcase three days of intimate events at various venues across the island all Easter weekend.
On Saturday, festivities will get underway with The Daytime Jazzabout, followed by the Evening Concert Series and the late-night Supper Club, before capping off the weekend with the Grand Finale on Easter Sunday.
Among the international line-up is Australia's Nichaud Fitzgibbon, Cactus Channel and returning acts George Washingmachine (Sydney) and the Stefan Nagler Trio (Germany).

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
