SPCA Cupcake Day 2017

Don't forget to support your furry friends and register for SPCA Cupcake Day 2017.
Join thousands of New Zealanders on Monday, August 14, as they grab their spatulas to fight animal cruelty with cupcakes.
Each year, more than 46,000 abused and neglected animals need love, care and shelter. Since 2009, supporters around the country have helped the SPCA raise more than $2 million dollars to help animals in need, simply by selling cupcakes.
With your help, this year could be the biggest yet. Join the cause and make a difference to the lives of thousands of injured, abused, sick and lost animals across New Zealand.
You can support this wonderful initiative with help from your colleagues, school, friends and business platforms. To get inspired, see the Dish team's favourite Cupcake Day recipe.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
