Le Diner en Blanc Tauranga 2017

Celebrate summer in style, at Tauranga's first pop-up dinner party.
Le Dîner en Blanc, the world’s largest pop-up picnic, will make its stylish debut in Tauranga this March.
The al fresco dining experience that originated in Paris nearly 30 years ago, will kick off in Tauranga on Saturday, March 18. A surprise location will be transformed into a midsummer night's dream, bound to delight lucky dinner guests and make for a truly memorable summer evening.
Le Dîner en Blanc has grown from a “friends and word-of-mouth only” event into an international epicurean sensation, in more than 70 cities from New York to Hong Kong. Guests are invited to come dressed in white, armed with picnic baskets filled with seasonal goodies.
To secure your place and register for this year's al fresco dining event, be sure to do so before Sunday, February 5. Tickets will be available up to six weeks before the event, subject to availability. Attendees will be notified via email.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
