NEW DAIRY FROM A TIMELESS TRADITION

Iceland’s century-old secret to healthy living has landed in New Zealand!
Tipped as the new “superfood”, Ísey Skyr is a remarkable dairy product that is rich in protein, naturally low in fat and deliciously smooth & creamy.
Ísey Skyr is available now in selected supermarkets in six delicious and unique flavours – Baked Apple, Creme Brulee, Strawberry, Blueberry, Vanilla and Natural.
It makes a perfect snack for healthy and active Kiwis, whether that’s after the gym, on-the-go, at work or as a healthier dessert. It is also delicious added to a nutritious breakfast bowl, in a smoothie or used in baking.
A traditional favourite of Icelanders, Ísey Skyr is the only skyr in New Zealand and the world that contains original Icelandic skyr cultures. It’s also made in New Zealand, with New Zealand dairy, using the original Icelandic recipe that dates back 1,100 years. The recipe contains three to four times more milk (skimmed milk) than typical yoghurt.
Ísey Skyr Managing Director for New Zealand and Australia Michael Quinn says the much-loved brand is delighted to be launching in Aotearoa and even better, making the product locally.

“We know there are a lot of people looking for a healthier alternative to the many confectionary-style yoghurts on the market. Ísey Skyr is not only lower in sugar than a lot of other products, but also naturally low in fat and a good source of protein to help keep you fuller for longer,” says Quinn.
“We are proud to be producing the product right here in New Zealand for New Zealanders, using quality New Zealand dairy and an authentic Icelandic skyr recipe. It doesn’t get much better than that!”
For centuries, Icelandic skyr formed a cornerstone of the national diet, helping to keep people strong in living conditions that were often harsh. On family farms countrywide, it was the women who nurtured this dairy tradition and passed on the recipe and original Icelandic skyr cultures from mother to daughter. Ísey is a beautiful Icelandic female name, meaning ice (Ís) – island (ey), which honours these women.
Ísey Skyr is available now in the chiller at selected New World, Pak’nSave, Four Square and Fresh Choice supermarkets nationwide. RRP $3.59 for 170g and $7.70 for 500g. For more information visit www.iseyskyr.co.nz
