Meadow Fresh NZ Café of the Year is back

Got your favourite spot? Don't miss out on your chance to nominate your favourite café for Meadow Fresh NZ Café of the Year 2018.
When you find that special place where the barista knows your name, the cabinet and menu items are consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is inviting each and every time, you know you've found something truly unique.
We’re thrilled to announce that Meadow Fresh NZ Café of the Year is back, to celebrate and reward the local café artisans going above and beyond to achieve a one-of-a-kind café experience.
Whether you're a café-owner or a happy customer, registrations and nominations are open until September 22nd. Consider this the perfect opportunity to recognise all of the hard work the café industry does, and applaud the great coffee that keeps us fuelled, no matter what the day throws at us.
This year, there are seven categories to enter or nominate, including the People’s Choice Award, where loyal customers are invited to vote for their favourite café. In keeping with previous years, there will be a string of incredible prizes for the 2018 Meadow Fresh NZ Café of the Year winner, as well as rewards for those who get involved and vote.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
