BLOC Mid-Winter Night Market is Back

Billed as 'a hot water bottle for the soul', the night market promises Jules Taylor wine, artisinal tea and deals on all your facourite designer goods.
Where: 20 Normanby Road, Mount Eden, Auckland
When: 30 July, 5-9pm
Between Citta, Father Rabbit, BoConcept, A&C Homestore, Hej Hej and Little Babies by Monstera, the flagship brands of BLOC collective, you've got linen, kitchenware, NZ made clothing and enough furniture and gift ideas to last a lifetime.
The founders of Hej Hej were participating in the night markets before they opened their flagship store at BLOC: "We always enjoyed having the opportunity to meet our customers at our night market stalls. We love being surrounded by likeminded brands who believe in great design and building a community."
And Claudia Zinzan, the founder of Father Rabbit likes the social aspect and chance to offer fans some deals alongside the evening's drinks and nibbles: "Our BLOC Night Market is one of our favourite shopping nights! In these darker evenings it's lovely to have something fun to do with a big community of people. Eating, Drinking and shopping local! There are so many wonderful bargains from our collaborators... It's a great chance for us to sell end of lines and samples! Plus we invite so many other amazing brands to join us with tastings and stalls and it gives our customers exposure to lots of new local brands that they may not have come across before."
On top of that, the collaborative's annual night market is bringing in a few extra stalls for the evening. There'll be French Fine Foods, Foundry Chocolate, Harry & Co, Loclaire, The Borrowed Collective, Fine & Dandy, Claybird Ceramics, Fume Products, The Good Pet Home, Vania Jewellery, Bentley & Hart Candles and more.
The idea of the Mount Eden event is for everyone to be able to enjoy a bite to eat, a drop of wine or tea while supporting local. Here at dish, we're pretty happy that some bright spark had the idea of bringing wine and shopping together...
