Man O'War Summer Lunch Fundraiser

This March, Waiheke Island will play host to some of Auckland's favourite chefs, in celebration of a wonderful and worthy cause.
Scheduled to kick off on Sunday, March 5, the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust's Annual Summer Lunch Fundraiser will return to Waiheke's Man O'War Vineyard, setting the scene for a day of casual summer grazing alongside Man O'War's breathtaking panorama.
This year's impressive line-up of culinary masters includes Paris Butter's Nick Honeyman, Baduzzi's Glen File, Euro's Gareth Stewart, O'Connell St Bistro's Mark Southon, Private Fine Dining's Tony Price, The Oyster Inn's Paulie Hooton, White + Wong's Stu Rogan and Waipuna's Ajay Zalte.
The Auckland based Westpac Rescue Helicopter is staffed full-time by a highly experienced flight crew of pilots, paramedics and crewmen, all of whom operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
