A celebration of exceptional food, wine and company this August
This August, celebrated New Zealand winery Cloudy Bay invites guests to a truly special experience: an intimate, long lunch at Christchurch’s historic Otahuna Lodge.
Set at the foot of the Port Hills and surrounded by sweeping gardens, this grand Victorian estate provides an elegant backdrop for an afternoon devoted to exceptional food, wine, and connection.
Acclaimed chef Jimmy McIntyre has crafted a bespoke five-course menu, thoughtfully designed to complement a curated selection of Cloudy Bay’s finest wines. Drawing on seasonal ingredients from the Lodge’s gardens and the Canterbury region, each dish celebrates local produce and refined flavours.
Guests will have the opportunity to connect with Cloudy Bay’s winemakers and viticulturists, gaining insight into the passion and expertise behind every bottle. Alongside them, artist Brogan Scott will hand-paint event-exclusive bespoke bottles that guests will receive as a take home gift - mirroring the craftsmanship and sense of place behind every Cloudy Bay wine. This intimate gathering invites guests to immerse themselves in the stories, skills, and artistry that bring Cloudy Bay to life.

We start by chatting with the MasterChef Australia judges and Kiwi contestant Ben Mcdonald before cooking up the very best of what’s in season. Then we make freezer meals easy and delicious with double-batch cooking. Next up we share some of our faves including Pretzel-crumbed Chicken Schnitty and French Onion Soup Mac and Cheese.
