Drink Smarter this Christmas. Drink Champagne Gardet.

This festive season enjoy fresh, world-class Champagne at an unbeatable price, with Fine Wine Delivery’s exclusive direct import from the boutique, family-owned Champagne Maison, Gardet.
Established in 1895, Gardet is renowned for its House style: extended ageing on lees in bottle to build greater richness, complexity, body and ultra-fine bubbles - resulting in drier, fresher, scintillating Champagne with undeniable seductive charm.

What does ‘FRESH’ mean – and why does it matter?
All Champagne sold at Fine Wine Delivery, whether imported by them directly, or by their supply partners is always guaranteed FRESH. This means supplied in 2025 (NEW stocks) and shipped in temperature-controlled containers so you taste it exactly as it was intended by the Champagne House.
Keep an eye out for Parallel Imported stock this Christmas and always buy from a trust-worthy source. Parallel Imports are purchased from secondary markets, older stocks that are often stored in poor conditions. Then shipped via multiple ports in non-temperature-controlled containers that are exposed to extreme temperature changes as it crosses the equator. This significantly changes the quality and taste of the Champagne.
Quick tip: Check the back label of a bottle of Champagne and if it’s missing the New Zealand importers details ie ‘Imported By…’. It’s been Parallel Imported. If a bottle of Champagne seems cheap and a ‘too good to be true’ deal when comparing prices in market. It means it is!
Aging on lees in the bottle is the hallmark of exceptional Champagne. The longer the aging, the better the results.
These exceptional Gardet Champagnes age gracefully on lees in the bottle for an extended period. The minimum time of 36-months for Gardet Brut Tradition surpassing the aging of most NV Champagnes. In the case of their Charles Gardet Prestige Cuvee, the lees aging is an extraordinary 15-years on lees, yet it is priced circa 20% to 25% of other Prestige Champagnes.
There are no shortcuts when it comes to building body and finesse. Unlike some major commercial labels that add more sugar at dosage (the process of preparing Champagne for the market), Champagne Gardet believes in the enduring elegance of longer aging on lees. This approach results in Champagnes with greater complexity and balance, allowing for a lower dosage of sweetness and producing drier, exquisitely rounded Champagnes that you can enjoy all night long!
