Entries open for the Brewers Guild of New Zealand Awards 2014

The Brewers Guild is taking entries for this year's Craftology Awards, celebrating excellence in the brewing industry
We learn the value of certificates from a young age - as children there's no greater achievement than returning home with a piece of paper bearing a shiny sticker and your name.
The joy of awards still hasn't lost its shine. Adulthood affords many privileges, including enjoying a good pint of beer, of which some 541 were entered into last year's Brewers Guild of New Zealand Awards, all aiming to win bronze, silver or gold medals. 35% did so - beaming like certificate-bearing children.
Entries are now open once more for this year's Craftology-sponsored Awards, which will be announced on the 21st of August at Wellington's Shed 6. Both industry and the public are welcome to attend, with the evening being hosted by TV personality Te Radar, a passionate home brewer.
Entries can be made until the 25th of July by clicking here. You must be a New Zealand brewery to enter.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
