Vavasour’s 2019 Rosé is rosé at its finest. A pretty pale pink colour promises a bouquet of raspberry, creaming soda and rose petal with lifted strawberries and cream. A rich and full palate of fresh summer berries lead to a creamy, lingering finish with the Awatere Valley’s hallmark minerality.
Vavasour is the founding winery of Marlborough’s smaller, cooler-climate Awatere Valley. An intimate knowledge of this dramatic southern pocket of Marlborough rewards them with wines of extraordinary elegance, perfume and texture. Vavasour planted the first vines back in 1986 and right from the start, produced wines with intense layers of flavour and a unique presence that demanded international attention.
