Liquorland Drop of the Day – Mother’s Day Chocolate Dream

Liquorland Drop of the Day, Mother’s Day Chocolate Dream – is it dessert? Is it a cocktail? We can guarantee Mum won’t mind either way when she has taken her first sip of this delicious, chocolatey treat…made even more decadent alongside a slice of hazelnut chocolate cake topped with luscious ganache!
So far we have experienced Easter and Anzac Day under lockdown, and now we have Mother’s Day tomorrow…strange times indeed, but still cause for celebration! We feel sure there are thousands of mums out there who could do with a bit of appreciation - juggling jobs, children and home schooling, not to mention keeping the troops fed and watered. Can we suggest whipping up a chocolatey cocktail to show some love? Thanks to Liquorlands’ click and collect service buying the cocktail ingredients is sorted, and if you’ve got a bit more time on your hands, the hazelnut chocolate cake with lashings of chocolate ganache would be the perfect dessert to pair with it.
Happy Mother’s Day!
2 tablespoons dark cocoa
60mls Kahlua
60mls Vodka

1 tablespoon cream
2 teaspoons chocolate sauce
Pour the cocoa onto a saucer and pour a little water into a separate saucer. Dip the rim of the serving glass first in the water, then in the cocoa to lightly coat the rim. Half fill the glass with ice, mix the spirits together then pour over the ice. Drizzle with chocolate sauce to serve.
