Drop of the Day - Drinks by the Dram 12 Days of Whisky Gift Pack

Todays Drop of the Day is a little off-piste in that it's not just one drop, but a dozen: Drinks by the Dram's gift set of 12 award winning whiskies in individual tasting-size bottles...
This article was created in partnership with Proof & Company New Zealand
The idea for the pack all started with the question: “wouldn’t it be great if you could try a whisky without having to shell out on a full-sized bottle?” With this in mind, Drinks by the Dram took bottles and divided them up into little samples, all of which are wax-dipped and handsomely labelled. The magnificent gift set is filled with 12 of the very finest whiskies known to humankind from sublime single malts to award-winning blended malt whisky.
This pack allows you to explore whiskies from across the world in twelve different handmade 30ml wax-sealed drams. The award-winning whiskies from famous distilleries includes everything from rich single malts to single grain. Here's what you'll find in the pack:
- Caol Ila 12YO
- Wolfburn Aurora Single Malt
- Teeling Small Batch
- Starward Solera
- Buffalo Trace
- Mackinlays Shackleton Blended Malt
- Glenfiddich 15-Year-Old Solera
- Copper Dog
- The Dubliner Irish Whiskey
- Tullamore D.E.W. 14-Year-Old Single Malt
- Benchmark Bourbon Old Number 8
- Balvenie Double Wood 12-Year-Old
The Drinks By The Dram 12 Days Gift Pack is also available in rum, gin and a variety of other sets. Available locally at independent retailers and online at Fine Wine Delivery.
We don't know about you but we can see ourselves sipping the evening away with a taster of whisky and a cheeseboard selection of toasty, salty crackers like these Parmesan, Rosemary and Caraway Seed Biscuits. Surely we can count this as educational.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
