Make Mother’s Day cocktails that the whole family can drink. (Dad can always add a splash of vodka or tequila to the glasses of the grown ups.)
Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS
½ cup sugar
wedge of lime
500 grams strawberries, thawed if frozen
1 cup chilled, freshly squeezed orange juice
juice of 1 lime
2 cups ice cubes
maple syrup or honey
watermelon wedges to garnish
METHOD
Put the sugar in a saucer. Rub the rims of each glass with the lime wedge then dip in the sugar to coat.
Put the strawberries, orange juice, lime juice and ice cubes in a blender and process until the mixture is smooth. Add maple syrup to taste. Pour into glasses and garnish with a wedge of watermelon.
Menu: Serve with Baked Croissant with Caramelised Apples, Chicken Hash Cakes and Blueberry Smoothies to drink.
