New Fruit Pastes & Pairings

Your homemade cheese platter just got a delicious lift with the addition of the new Fruit for Cheese range from Barker's of Geraldine.
Using their extensive knowledge and pairing expertise, the team at Barker’s have created four new flavoursome offerings. Blackberry & Brandy; Feijoa & Pear; Quince; and Pomegranate & Black Pepper. Conveniently packed in a resealable tub you can use just a bit and save the rest for later. But what we love most is the suggested cheese pairing on the label that gives you guidance as to what cheese to match with what paste. For example, if you choose the Feijoa & Pear paste you’ll know it will go best with soft cheese like brie or ricotta. It’s a great way to impress guests when entertaining at home all year round.
Available now in supermarkets nationwide, alongside the specialty cheeses.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
