A Decade of Raglan Food Co's Coconut Yoghurt!

Raglan-based yoghurt makers, Raglan Food Co, are celebrating a decade since they launched their first coconut yoghurt to Raglan locals back in December 2014.
Founded by friends Tesh Hearth and Seb Walter, the pair were determined to make a dairy-free yoghurt that would appeal to the taste buds of plant-based advocates, dairy intolerant consumers and foodie-fanatics alike. What started out as a few jars of yoghurt sold to local friends has now grown into a thriving business supplying coconut yoghurts to retailers around the country.
And whether it’s the fresh Raglan sea air, simple ingredients or good vibes, you won’t find plant-based products that are more delicious. Winners of numerous awards and hearts, their versatile coconut yoghurts and dairy-free kefir yoghurt smoothies should certainly be a fridge staple.
“What surprises people is how tasty our yoghurts are, many even prefer our range to traditional yoghurt as our yoghurt is really light, fresh and creamy,” say co-founder Tesh. “We want people to feel like it’s easy to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diet and we truly believe in more plant-based eating for a happier, healthier world”.
To celebrate Raglan Food Co’s 10th Birthday the company is donating a proceed of the November 700g sales to Auckland City Mission and local charity the Whāingaroa Environment Centre. They’ve also launched a limited-edition New Zealand Mānuka Honey yoghurt in 700g, a larger size of their popular Dulce De Leche Caramel yoghurt in 400g and finally a Vanilla Bean Gut Health Kefir packed with billions of probiotics.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
