Mikey Newlands' status as one of New Zealand's best culinary talents has been building over the 12 years he has been a chef.
He has worked in prestigious and Michelin starred kitchens in Melbourne, London and the south of France, and is currently Bracu restaurant's head chef. Located in the rolling Bombay Hills south of Auckland, he maximises on the restaurant's produce-rich surroundings to present exquisite seasonal dishes that are at once elegant yet unpretentious. He's also one of Beef + Lamb's Ambassador Chefs - one of the most prestigius culinary titles.
Join Mikey as he demonstrates three different dishes at the stunning Auckland Miele showroom kitchen. With just 14 places available each night, this is a chance to get up close and ask any questions that come to mind as he prepares beautiful food right in front of your eyes.
The demonstration will be followed by a three course dinner around one table, where you will be able to get to know Mikey and his food philosophy better. Marisco Vineyard wines will be matched to each course.
