Win an Epic Limited-Edition Surfboard Fuelled by L'affare

Purchase L’affare’s Limited Edition Summer coffee for your chance to WIN a Verdure surfboard!
Chances are that you or someone you know loves hitting the beach over Summer – in quintessential Kiwi fashion.
To get everyone on board (pun intended) with drinking their banging Limited Edition Summer coffee, L’affare teamed up with their mates at Verdure Surf in Lyall Bay, Wellington. Together (but mainly from the craftmanship of Jack, Doug and Blaise at Verdure), they’re giving you the chance at scoring the board of your dreams. Measuring up at 9’2” x 22 1/2" x 3", these boards are perfect for mellow summer waves, and built to last for years to come.

Verdure Surf created two fully custom boards, suitable for surfers of all sizes and ability. The boards are made from locally blown EPS, FSC certified Plywood, NZ grown Paulownia, Organic Hemp Fibre and are coated with plant based epoxy resin. The colour work mixes natural earth pigments with the resin making these some of the most environmentally-friendly boards in the world.
These limited edition boards are based on Verdure’s tried and trusted design, they feature a fuller nose and slightly wider tail, making them easier to nose ride.

Simply grab two bags of Summer, and be in to win one of these top-of-the-line surfboards valued at $2500 each!
Summer is fruity and lively, with taste notes of berries, melon and cream. We’ve made Summer to be drunk cold – it’s the refreshing drink you never knew you needed in your fridge or chilly bin. For the classic kiwi Summer days that aren’t so hot (we know there’ll be a few of those), it also tastes pretty banging as a hot brew.
Purchase online at www.laffare.co.nz/seasonal or in-store at the L’affare Wellington Café - 27 College Street or at their Newmarket Café - 22 Melrose Street.

We start by sharing what’s on the dish team’s radar, what we’re watching, listening to and reading. Harry Butterfield puts a twist on his Nonna’s agnolotti, Malissa Fedele reminds us of the importance of fibre, and Phoebe Holden fulfils a long-held dream, sitting down with Yotam Ottolenghi. Autumn is an abundant time, we make the most with pumpkin, kūmara, cabbage, cauliflower, feijoas, apples and pears. We’re dishing up dinners for two, including a Chicken Dumpling Lasagne, alongside easy weeknight meals. We honour our mums, revisit timeless classics, and add a little baking challenge. This issue, we encourage you to slow down, to enjoy writing your shopping list, and spending time in the kitchen. Because even when life feels relentless, there’s always space to share something delicious.
