Made and bottled right here in New Zealand, Solace Cranberry & Raspberry Gin (37.5% alc/vol) is a handcrafted, artisanal, small batch gin infused with 13 botanicals and sweetened with natural berry extracts. The result is a delicate, fruity gin perfectly paired with soda and ice to let the berry flavours take centre stage. Garnish with either a slice of lime, organic orange, or muddled mint.
Solace Gin is produced by Kings Liquor, a reputable Kiwi company that has been producing spirits since 1985. With more than 30 years in the business, the team know a thing or two about gin and wanted to deliver a dry style Kiwi's could be proud of.
The hand illustrations on the label (produced by Suze McElroy) are inspired by the craft style of the gin, reflecting the traditional crafting and blending of the recipes.
This gin is best paired with citrus ceviche, pan-fried white fish with a lemon dressing, or smoked salmon. We reckon it works really well with Sarah Tuck's rich and fruity Roast Salmon with Pomegranate Glaze and Herby Mayo.
If you’re after a traditional gin, Solace also produces a London Dry Gin 42.2% alc/vol.
Solace Gin Cranberry & Raspberry and Solace London Dry Gin are $69.99 and can be purchased from www.solacegin.co.nz and select liquor stores nationwide. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
